The Essex Image Vault is committed
to making important historic images available to collectors,
historians, family researchers, authors and publishers.
The images in the Vault have been chosen from the
Phillips Library’s vast collection of more than
two million. Part of the world-famous Peabody Essex
Museum, the Phillips Library is among the oldest archival
repositories in the nation, where generations of scholars
and researchers have sought evocative photographs
and documents from the past.
Notable for their beauty as well as for their historic
importance, the rare images selected for inclusion
in Essex Image Vault have been painstakingly scanned
using cutting-edge technology. Printed by specialists
with many years of experience, the images you order
are sure to be enjoyed for years to come. Each is
carefully adjusted to ensure that the finished product
is of the highest possible quality.
